DIY FOAMING HAND SOAP RECIPE

A simple, customizable recipe you can recreate again and again.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces (¼ cup) Castile soap

  • 6 ounces clean water (distilled, filtered, or boiled & cooled is ideal)

  • 6–12 drops essential oils (single oil or blend—see ideas below)

  • 1 foaming soap dispenser (must be a foaming/air pump to create the foam)

Instructions:

  1. Add 2 ounces of Castile soap to the bottom of your foaming bottle.

  2. Add your essential oils directly into the soap.

  3. Slowly add 6 ounces of clean water.

    • Pour slowly to avoid creating premature bubbles.

  4. Insert a wooden skewer or dowel and gently stir to combine the soap and oils.

  5. Add the dispenser top and tighten.

  6. Flip the bottle upside down and slowly swirl to help dissolve the Castile soap at the bottom.

  7. Pump and enjoy your silky, beautifully scented foaming hand soap!
