In this course, you will learn the importance of classifying herbs by the Latin binomial, the genus, and species, as well as understanding plant parts and the life cycle of plants and how this impacts us as Commonsense Herbalists.

This delightful course introduces several different herbal remedy forms, how to make them, and how to use them. From tinctures to teas and salves to ointments, this module includes basic recipes for common herbal use.

Herbs are categorized by their herbal actions and energetics, their effect on energy production, the density of tissues, and muscle tone and flow. This understanding helps the Commonsense Herbalist choose the best herb to support the person.

Explore several herbs found in the Commonsense Herbalist's first aid kit. These herbs have been traditionally and historically used to help with minor health issues or with major issues while seeking emergency medical aid.

In this introductory course, you will learn how the shape, size, color, and texture of a plant and where the plant grows can point to how the herb will nurture and support the body.

As pet guardians, it is our duty and honor to be educated about pet health and health concerns. This course will explain how certain herbs are safe for pets and how these herbs can be used to help support and nurture your furry companion.
