Herbal Boot Camp


Training in creating herbal medicine tinctures, salves, and teas including how to choose herbs that blend well together.  

  • Supplies for making at least two take-home herbal products that you make while there. Supplies for additional products are available for a small fee.

  • Herb Walk with an experienced herb guide - a two-hour walk through the National Forest, mountain fields, and gardens focusing on identifying plants,  wildcrafting, and harvesting herbs.

  • Topics covered include:

    • Creating an Herbal First Aid/Emergency Preparedness Kit

    • Foraging in my Kitchen - using what's in your pantry to help support common health issues

    • Pet Herbology

    • Herbal Case Studies

    • Demos:  herbal oil infusions, poultices, and packs

  • 19 Contact Hours of Continuing Education Credit· 

  • Manual/Handouts for documentation· 

  • Open Q&A, some business support· 

  • Classroom-style instruction in a mountain cabin. 

  • Light breakfasts, lunches

  • Wine/charcuterie social Friday evening - optional

  • Food preferences and sensitivities addressed.
