I remember when Poo Pouri was first introduced. Mr. Sweet had stumbled upon a crazy video on Facebook where a beautiful redhead was sharing the need to “spritz the bowl before you go”! He showed it to me, and we laughed and laughed. I showed it to my mom.
My mother and I worked together at the Herb Shop back then, and we couldn’t stop laughing at the ingenious video and the amazing product. A product, rumor has it, can make marriages better. Stronger.
And a product that is EASY to recreate!
We were one of the first stores to carry the Poo-Pourri line, and I have loved having a toilet bowl spray in my house. Since I love DIY and Essential Oils, I knew I could effortlessly make toilet bowl sprays using the essential oils I have on hand.
Bonus! Making a toilet bowl and bathroom freshener is super inexpensive!
I’ve included a basic recipe along with the essential oil combinations I used in my YouTube Video below.
First, I made the copycat blend and then combined two essential oils for my second spray. These two make a blend that smells clean and refreshing.
TIP: Create a spray bottle for your guest bathroom.

Other blending combination ideas - one-ounce recipe:
6 drops Lavender + 4 drops Pink Grapefruit
3 drops Lemon + 3 drops Lavender + 3 drops Cinnamon Leaf
6 drops Lime + 3 drops Peppermint
3 drops Lemon + 3 drops Bergamot + 3 drops Spearmint
